I will quote the NCGenWeb webmaster’s notice today to the NCGW members:
I would like to share the sad news that Joyce Wilson Harrison, our former CC for Orange County, passed away Sunday. She had been coordinator of Orange County and had also done Durham County prior to Ginger Smith. Joyce had been in ill health for awhile and resigned from the project in October. If you happen to be friends with her on Facebook, check her page – there are many nice tributes to her on her wall, including one from a cousin about the help he received from her on his family genealogy.
Joyce’s obituary is in the Greensboro News & Record paper.
Our sympathies go out to her and her family and friends. Rest in peace, Joyce.
